ENEWS - Distributed primarily to University faculty, staff and administrators
Mountaineer ENEWS, distributed by University Relations primarily to University faculty,
staff and administrators on all campuses, is an email publication containing news
and announcements about the University.
For an item to be considered ENEWS, it must involve an official WVU unit, or have
some other direct connection to the University and its related organizations or
initiatives. While in some instances, ENEWS will feature an event that is hosted
at a WVU facility, just being held at WVU is not sufficient reason to be included.
The final decision to include or not include an announcement in ENEWS is at the
discretion of University Relation editors.
Except in extraordinary circumstance, please submit the item at least 48 hours in
advance of the date it needs to be published to Student Life Communications.
Campus Announcements & MIX
Campus announcements are posted on the Current Students website.
Announcement requests should be submitted before 3 p.m. at least two business days prior to the requested posting date.
To submit a campus announcement, please email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org and be sure to include the required information listed below.
Announcement & MIX Requirements:
- Your Name
- Position Title
- Announcement title or message subject
- Announcement text or message body
- Date the announcement should be posted
MIX email messages
MIX is used for targeted email messages from colleges, schools or departments, please include the following additional information with your request. Messages are delivered to students' @mix.wvu.edu Gmail accounts.
- Student level (undergraduate, graduate or professional)
- College or School (Eberly College, Business and Economics, Law School, etc.)
- List of majors to receive the message, including the title of each major
Message attachments are currently not supported. We recommend that you post any attachments on your website, and include a link to that in the announcement message body.
Complete the event submission form to add your events to the University calendar. Submissions are subject to review. Your event will appear on the calendar after an administrator approves it.
